New Easton Bats

What's on your mind?

by NumeroUno » Wed Apr 01, 2009 3:12 pm

Now that the New Easton Bats have been out for a while has anyone hit them enought to get the broken in marks to appear? They say 5000 swings and they are done, is this true.

Just wanted to add, I was watching a UT game and the FL v AL games this weekend and noticed most of their bats were the Clarity's. Every one I saw showed the excessive wear.

But, who cares until ASA makes the call.

watched the illinois/iowa game last night and noted that one player was using the clarity while about 10 still prefer the purple/white easton stealth sc6nb

In the games I've been Blueing... about half the Eastons I'm seeing are the new Claritys and I have not seen any of the excessive wear yet ...

The connection point gives the bat head some whip as the bat comes around. They work too; the problem is they crack right at that connection point a lot. We went through two 08 Stealth's before we just had Easton downgrade us to the Synergy, which is the 09 Clearity. She has hit the new one more than 5000 times between travel ball, batting lessons, and the transition into the high school season. 5 months now and no discoloration yet

I just bought a new synergy clarity for my dd after a couple of years with the grey synergy. I went with the 33/23. She hit her first over the fence HR last night with it. She was playing on a 200 foot field with a 8' fence. The bat has a lot of pop. I hope it lasts like the old one did. She is 14U.

Congrats to your daughter! At 14U, She probably has worked on her swing hard to get that first OTF yak. AWESOME!

I was surprised to see this bat in use in a Men's FP tourney. .. but it was there. A few guys were using them. I dont know if they are a keeper or not, but just adding that for what its worth.

08 Purple/White Stealth I have seen a LOT of at the college level, are these college teams able to get there hands on NEW ones thru reps?

I am also seeing A TON of the older Stealth's Grey/Gold,(SCN4B) at the TOP collegiate level, is that bat something special to be several years old (YR?) and still sought after, is this also something reps still have supply of but not in stores?

Any difference in these two bats?
