Look coaster, just because I have not had the honor of watching the Diamonds play this year, does not mean I don't give them the credit they deserve as a top talented team. They obviously earned respect from me for their win at the HOF.The issue I had was a few postings from a couple of D/FW posters (you being one)that sounded to me that they wanted to stir the pot because the Diamonds came out on top, and not a Houston team. So be it! The Diamonds won a tournament! Congratulations to them.The Houston teams had several teams make a noise, with 2 earning births. C Tx also made a noise.This being said,Texas should be well represented at ASA Nationals.
As far as rumors, anybody that hangs at the softball field or with softball fans hear rumors. Some take it and run with it, some consider the source and I for one,take the words,chew them long enough to get a taste and spit it out on the ground.

What I saw last weekend was several good 12u softball teams that could win a Tournament any weekend.
Last Weekend the best team was the Diamonds.
It showed there are more quality teams in Houston then N. Texas and Central Texas. I am not saying Houston has better teams just more teams that could win a tournament like this then N. Texas.
I have heard some of the best 12u teams are meeting in Houston on July 4th. Who is playing in it? Was N. Texas and C. Texas teams invited?

I heard, and it just may be a rumor, that it might be the Diamonds. It seems that after their performance in San Antonio they are going to go straight to 18U Gold and bypass everything else. Dont quote me on that because that is just a rumor I heard. However, I would not put much stock into that and therefore would assume it is either one of the Houston teams or perhaps ASA is going to take 4 from TX because they had another team or teams drop out from other regions. I REALLY dont know.
