Wanted to make it out to Spring to catch some softball action, but DD was still playing HS ball. How was the competition. Who looked the best ( minus a few players, I assume). With the rain how many games did teams get to play?

The clue should be that the OK Force, Tulsa Elite Gold and Glory Naudin were all in the same end of the bracket in a single elimination bracket. Yet they got 1st, 2nd and tied for 3rd respectively. If the tournament had played out only 2 of the 3 would have been in the top 4. Also, as the bracket was posted, only either the OK Force or the Tulsa Elite could have finished 1st or 2nd as they would have played each other in the 2nd round. So....... All we can deduce is that several teams dropped out and they redid the brackets, then never bothered to update or fill in the results. It seemed to me that all the teams got what they wanted out of the tournament, a lot of games to get back in the swing of things. As far as illegal players, more than one team borrowed a player from another team to fill in at times, it's a tough time of year for most with players still in the HS playoffs.

I think all teams accomplished their team goals for the weekend. Our goal was to get in a lot of great games and go undefeated to prepare for qualifiers. Mission accomplished. This was great preperation for Qualifiers with us having to play 10 of our 11 games within a 29 hour period from 2pm Sun to 7pm Mon, including 6 games on Mon within 11 hours.

BRACKET: (Some of these results were told to me by other teams, so can't verify 100% accuracy)
Round 1:
Xtreme defeated Batbusters;
OKC Ultimate defeated Elite Mongillo

Elite Easton defeated Glory Adkins (Then Elite went home)
Elite Whitby defeated Fireballs (Then Elite went home & Fireballs crossed to bottom half in Force's spot)

Tulsa Elite defeated Amer Freedom
OK Force defeated NWA Phenix (Then Force was moved to top half in Elite Easton's spot)

Glory Naudin defeated Glory Adkins
MAC defeated Tx Fusion

ROUND 2:
Xtreme defeated OKC Ultimate (Then Xtreme went home)
Force got a BYE
Tulsa Elite defeated Fireballs
Glory Naudin defeated MAC

Round 3:
Force got a BYE
Tulsa Elite defeated Glory Naudin (Great young team by the way)

Championship:
Tulsa Elite & Force tied 1-1 after 4 inn with 13 min remaining and they couldn't get lights turned on and didn't know how long it would take; so after playing 6 games within 11 hours Elite decided to go home and gave Force the trophies.

Not trying to make any excuses, but I think we had all accomplished what we set out to accomplish.

Competition was good. Everyone looked a little rusty. Heard a rumor that the Eclipse lost to the Blitz out of Alvin area. Did not see the game and not sure if it is true. That would be a surprise to me. We were scheduled for 5 games only played 3. Saturday afternoon was a wash. After about 1pm no games played. We only played one on Sunday at 8am, stuck around until around 11, and it started to sprinkle so we left. Don't know if all the Sunday games were played though.

I'm glad that's settled...

So, let's hear what proof you have that Houston used an illegal player?

not 'an' illegal player but two. ask him. or ask the teams he had to forfet his games to. or ask the td.

better question would be why?
