This must have been a tough question considering the amount of responces. I'll take a stab from what I know.

Houston Power - They should be stong considering they have 24 players in their roster. If not, thay have no excuss.

SK Impact- They seem to be a well rounded team, with two good pitchers.

I am sure there are others in the Houston area, however, I have not seen them play yet. Will have a better idea in about 4 weeks or so.

I am talking 16U here. Don't have alot of info on 18U.

HP 16U has 17 on their roster. According to the HOF qualifer in Midland website. The Midland qualifier and next week's Nationals qualifier in Wichita Falls should be a good yard stick.

The Texas Storm 16U is very good, at least they were at the RMD.

The team disbanded shortly after ASA Nationals... where theyTop 10.

They had tryouts / selected a 2009 team... then the wheels came off. Some internal / some external problems (issues).

Some girls went to Eclipse 16U
One went to Sudden impact Gold
One went to Impact Gold
The rest found other teams and are playing....
When asked how many times she hit Tiger with the golf club, she responded, "I'm not sure...put me down for an 8!

My mistake on the HP roster. I was looking on thier web site at the time. Perhaps they were just adding new players and not deleting the old ones.

Anyway, the next two weeks will propably give us a good idea which teams have the best shoot. Some strong tour. coming up.

Take a look at the stats from the 16U Qualifier in Wichita Falls. The run tallies tell you alot about the teams. Texas Storm Elite is one of the best 16U teams in the country. Houston Power is not.

I had an opportunity to watch Texas Storm play in Wichita Falls. Their defense is excellent, hitting is only average and their pitching is above average. They were the best team at this tournament, but let's see what happens at ASA Nationals!
