Great weekend of softball ! We got cheated out of one more heavy weight fight with the TPS vs Texas Sting. The first game was a nail biter like we are use to seeing with TPS taken it 1-0. It came down to a great play by the TPS pitcher to save the game for the TPS. In the championship game the Sting was not at full roster to make it another great game. With state coming up It will be a coin toss between these two as long as both rosters are healthy. Sting needs a full healthy roster to compete with the depth and power of the TPS.

HAMMER, why cant you admit the TPS is better than the Tx Sting????? The Tx Sting is a good team with out a doubt, but call it as it is no excuses (hurt players or not). If you are to compete at the highest level you will need two great pitchers. Heck if the TPS loose a pitcher they still have more than the others, TPS is the best out there. The Tx Sting can compete with the TPS when the ace is healthy, but with out her they are not the same. I noticed you mentioned the score of the first game 1-0 TPS but not the second game, it was 9-0 TPS for first place.

I agree with almost everything you have said, but when both teams have their best nine on the field I would not bet money on who would win. I have always said TPS is the deepest team out their.and have the strongest roster 1-9. I would be very carful who you bet on at state or nationals. When you peek is important and from what I have seen the Sting has not yet played there best ball. I think TPS is the team right now. It was disappointing that the Sting pitcher could not go in the championship game, heck I even think TPS was disappointed. They enjoy the competition as well as anyone. I know the Sting team was not there self and the TPS knew it also. By the way the score was 10-0 run ruled. I know the Sting pitcher that was in the dugout (# 1 ) wont forget that score. It might be just the motivation the Sting was looking for headed in to state and nationals. Yes TPS is the best team in the Houston area right now, but you best watch out the Texas Sting is no joke. I always like an underdog in the big one's :D :o

First, I would like to wish the Sting pitcher (#1) a speedy recovery from her injury this week-end.

Sting is not the same team without their #1 pitcher. Even though the girls who pitched in the championship game Sunday did a great job, they just don't have the power and speed that #1 has. It was a disappointment Sunday for Sting not to be at 100%. We all know they would not have gotten run ruled.

I have to agree with Hammer that Sting is a great ball club and with TPS 98 and Sting both healthly I would pay money to see those games, and which team makes the least mistakes will win. " Both those teams can play some ball."

Hey REALLY! I have got a better question for you!

Who cares? These kids are 10 and 11 year old little girls and you are seriously worried about who is best? 3/4 of these kids will not even play softball as 14 year olds. 1/2 of those due to idiotic parents who push them to play to win at all costs regardless of what the KID wants to do.

If the KIDS are getting to play on a team with good coaching and they would rather play close to home in this great economy (that our phenom President has yet to "change") then WHO CARES? (no, I do not have any affiliation with ANY Peppers team. I had a falling out with their leader a few years ago and won't have anything to do with them)

Why would you bash a team for not wanting to travel that far to play? Southbelt is every bit of an hour away and they play out of Tomball? (thats where Dewey's place is) These kids are supposed to be out there for FUN and to LEARN. If you want a trophy, PM me, I have a few that I can give you from my middle daughters playing days that have sat around and collected DUST for the last 3 years while she is in college (on a softball scholarship) My oldest daughter was better than her and I sounded just as idiotic as you people and pushed her away from the game. She got her scholarship too, and quit after her freshman year. HATED the game.

Grow up and try to do what's BEST for YOUR kid! If its trophies that you want, I can hook you up with all that you can handle!

If you are that worried about how 10u girls play and who is the best 10u team then you have issues and maybe you need to contact Dr Phil for some psychiatric help or maybe Dr Drew Pinsky for some rehab!

Come on people. Its 10u softball!
