No more extra berths. Alot of real good teams on the outs looking in and have to go Ft Worth.

I agree. There are so many Texas teams being left out. Seems like CA seems to dominate the # of teams going to Marietta compared to Texas.

CA teams have earned a lot of berths this year in addition to the 12 from their local association. CA qualified 1 team from a New England regional, 2 teams from HOF, 2 from last year's 14U nationals, 2 from last year's 12U nationals, and 1 or 2 from Western Nationals. That's in addition to the 12 local association berths. GA qualified 2 from the HOF in addition to their local association berths, and a number of GA teams travelled out of state in an attempt to get a berth. There are berths to be had.

Looks to me like the state of TX received 5 berths this year. GA also received 5. Southern CA received 12. All based on the number of ASA teams you register. OK had second most - 10- and PA third most - 9. Note that currently there are 2 OK teams and 1 PA team registered for 14U nationals. Maybe future berths should be based on # of teams that show up for nationals?

Here's the link - http://downloads.asasoftball.com/tourna ... Report.pdf

How did OK register almost as many teams as CA? There are 5034 teams playing ASA in OK?

I may be wrong but Texas, including the Metros, have 12 berths.

Texas State............. 3
Houston Metro...........2
Ft Worth Metro..........2
San Antonio Metro......1
Dallas Metro..............1
Regionals..................2
NQ..........................1

Plus Texas is so close to OK City, someone usually grabs 1 or 2 berths at the HOF.

Could be wrong, just going on what the ASA thingy showed. It seems odd to me that GA would get the same amount of berths as TX since you would think TX has a good bit more teams.

Like I said it seems like Texas is not being represented as it should be. I also thought we were bigger than GA. I guess Texas is being represented by 12 teams compared to the 32 already registered for Marietta, GA. See link. http://www.cobbcounty-asanationals.com/ ... m_list.htm
I don't think it is updated because Houston Power and Magic are not listed yet. Good luck to these teams because they are the few that represent our state.

There are many more GA teams this year at 14U than in years past. GA had 5 berths, plus 2 teams qualified at the HOF, plus 2 teams qualified at the region qualifier, plust 2 host berths. Also possible that there will be fill in berths for a couple of GA teams.
