Sunglasses for Softball

I have seen a few TB players wearing sunglasses while pitching / playing infield / batting. Wondering if there is a preferred brand of Sunglasses? What to look for in safety?

Now and then, there has been a discussion about this on Eteamz. I just went there and did a search for sunglasses and some good discussions came up. Some are a couple of years old.

Thank you, I see there are a few threads out there regarding Sunglasses. Looks like the preferred ones are Akadema, Nike, Bolle, and Easton.

I went to Big-5 Sports and they could not tell me which sunglasses were for sports or not. Spotted the Eastons (Youth size) and bought those. Hopefully they will fit DD and she can try them out over the next few days. This Wednesday's game the setting sun is right in the eyes of SS/3B.

had a pitcher that wore oakleys when she pitched...she took a shot back to her face and the oakleys took the brunt of the impact...brusied nose...doctor said oakleys saved her from a broken nose or concusion...she wears clear oakley lenses at night now...

Well if your DD wears contacts, she can wear Max Sight sport contacts by Nike (Amber) . My DD has been wearing them for over 2 plus years and loves them. she says she can see the ball much more clearly, they cost about 65.00 for a set of 3. Which she only wears a few hours a day .You can get them at most eye doctors offices
