Easy there Catdaddy. Wish I would have had a chance to say hello to you in Normal. The only person that would speak up was Bob Billingsley. I got a chance to see both the Diamonds and the Fusion play and they are both very worthy of being where they are today. It is just a shame that they have to play each other in this elimination game. Whoever does come out on this one will have to play the Comets (my guess) and then on to the loser of Jynx and Power Surge. I do not see anybody beating Power Surge if they have that chick throwing. She is very good.
But, all in all, I think Texas is and was well represented in an 88 team tournament. You can't take away from the teams in the south. Heck, if we would take all of our teams from the South that played in this tournament and put them together and make two teams out of them, I think we could hang pretty well with anybody, including the Cal. teams.
The girls all played great and it was a wonderful experience. The weather was awesome, the park was nice and I would go back in a heartbeat.
In fact, I look forward to trying to qualify for USA/ASA Nationals in 2010 in 14U, wherever that may be.
