Barnhill leaving UT?

by heybuckethead » Sun Aug 16, 2009 12:25 pm

The Texas coaches have their detractors, but so do many. In Barnhill's case, this move just goes to show that daddyball is alive in well at the college level. Dad wants baby daughter at the same school as his football-playing soon. . . .and daddy still wants a job in college football.

Barnhill leaving UT and transfering to Ole Miss

Any truth to this?

She is following her little brother that will be playing football there.

He is a TE that has signed to play for Houston Nutt and Ole Miss

Make no mistake - this was a decision that was made as a family.... <cough> Dad <cough>.

I read on rivals that her brother is a QB. It shows that he is a HS senior and hasnt even committed to a college.

I don't know about daddyball w/ this fellow, but the battles between dad and kid were legendary at tournaments and especially at high school games. DD and dad would get into it during the games, DD yelling at dad in the stands and dad yelling back...in the middle of a game! Fans on both sides were quite embarassed by the entire show. It was so bad, the dad was banned to a deer stand outside the fence in centerfield at Northwest HS.

Then there was the time that BB was coming up to bat, but before stepping into the box...positioned her bat as if it was a shotgun and pretended to shoot birds out of the sky...again, during the middle of the game while all were watching! What a head case...

And her temper??? Second to none!!! Don't get me wrong, the kid had talent and worked hard, but I suspect at a school like U.T., they said enough is enough, and "hit the road babe".

Clark is struggling a bit, but I'd bet some coin that plenty will be lined up ready to step in if she comes knocking.
