How did tryouts in 14U Houston go today?

by Blind Squirrel » Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:57 am

Hey SpazsDad, FYI you have a minor bug: When I went to submit my post, the contents of AssMaster Flush's interim post was displayed when I was asked if I still wanted to submit. No big deal. Just takes an extra line or two of code if you happen to be in that area.

John, I think they do that on purpose incase you want to change what you have posted before submitting it.

Along the lines of the bait and switch, there was an Org. in So Cal that did that last year too. Some people weren't happy about it, but it did work out ok for them.

Yeah, ordinarily that resubmit feature works great. In this case AssMaster is on my list of "Foes" so consistency suggests that the contents of his post never appear to me. At least that it is the way I insist that it works (smiley emoticon here).

The bait and switch is always used to benefit the user at the expense of the victim. No big deal perhaps. I just don't think it should be easily rationalized away when kids are directly involved. It is obviously a coaches prerogative if he/she wants to attract kids to their tryout under false pretenses. Whether a parent cares is their prerogative.

Click up at that top "User Control Panel"
Then click on left tree "Friends and Foes"
Then "Manage Foes" and enter anyone you don't want to be bothered with.
