It was great to see the park full of kids playing the greatest game with almost perfect weather, especially after all the recent rainouts.

I am well aware of the delay in Saturday evening's games. We purposely avoid scheduling any games after 8:30pm on Saturdays to allow ample time for delays, ITB, etc., so that teams can go home at a reasonable hour. The delay in the start of some of Saturday's late games was NOT acceptable. Some were caused by ITB games throughout the day while others were caused because a few of the umpires fell ill before and during the day Saturday. I was especially concerned because when working with such a young age group, as a parent, I do not want my kid out at all hours of the night.

SGSA will continue to work to improve the softball experience for all at Bob Jones Park. For those who were inconvenienced because of our shortcomings, I apologize.

If you would like to speak with me or contact me via email, please feel free to do so at 817-808-8027 or jmtuggey@verizon.net

Ok here we go, first tell me how some teams play 2 pool games friday nite and the get to show up at 4p Sat, while some teams get there Sat. morning at 7 am to warm up for an 8am game and leave the park at midnight, then back again Sunday at 7.a
This kids are 10 yrs old and yes they fought it and played well.
Way to many teams and way too long at the park. 17 hours days will wear your ass out. Not one team was happy except the Black Sox and then they got busted by teams who had slept there. Not a fan of the Southlake tournery except the great teams there.

Well momof23, the TD just got through apologizing for the late games on Saturday night and what caused this to happen and yet you decide to blast away at him anyway. Welcome to the world of big tournament softball.

Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world and if it were then you would have left the park by 10:00, so take a chill pill.

Most TD's will schedule all teams somewhat close to the tourney location on Friday nights to prevent the teams having to travel long distances for three days.

I would like to thank the TD for hosting a good event and handeling things to the best of his abilities after losing umpires. They took a page from Grapevine the week before and raked the infields before the games on Sunday. Great job Mr. Tuggey!

We played in SL last weekend and it's clearly stated that where you are in the bracket is randomly selected. For any mom's of 23 out there that don't have a clue, that means "luck of the draw", regardless of when you play your pool games. I think the TD addressed the other issues of kids playing late... and short of kissing your fat Walmart a$$, what else would you like them top do?

State your team's name here, and I'm pretty sure you won't need to show up anymore...
