It seemed to me that most of the teams on Sunday were pretty evenly matched. Any team could've won or lost given a play here or there.

But what I don't get is it was a round robin and the purpose is to make "your" team better for the rest of the year. So why do teams pick up other players to play in front of their own players. How is that gonna help your team. This goes on all year long for some teams but this is the perfect time to give other players a chance. Maybe somebody was sick or hurt but it didn't appear that anybody was short players. Even if a team is short, why pick up a pitcher to come pitch in front of your own players.

What it boils down to is teams will do anything to win, even a round robin game.

To the parents of the teams that always pick up. This doesn't help your team because when the good tournaments come around, the pick up players will be with their own teams and then you are the one that suffers.

Some teams need pick up players right now because they are only carrying nine, and the sickness is going around big time. I hate to say it, but school Volleyball conflicts are also a current issue. I don’t think pick up players should be pitching, or hitting high up in the lineup, that’s not right. In Deer Park all the 98’s played on Saturday and the 97’s on Sunday. TPS 98 stepped in to fill a gap on Sunday and I think another 98 team did also :?:
When will all the top 10 meet up? Ronald McDonald?

The Fury Burroughs and TPS Deer Park tourneys are filling fast and should have quite a few. Not sure of the classification of a team as a 98 lately. We played a team this weekend with atleast 2 96's (a pitcher and catcher) a few 97's and maybe 3-4 98's and they roll as a 98?
:? I guess you go off the age of the coaches DD :?

Does anyone have the team list(current) for Beaumont. Seems the 14u has changed and the 12's are no longer listed. Just trying to find out if the 12's are all playing together. If so, this just turned to a very strong tournament.

It looks like some of these 'chest beaters' decided to play where they belong or not even play at all. I think they saw that there is a little more talent in the 12's than they thought. There sure hasn't been as much talk as there was back in August and early Sept.

This one will be hard to predict with all of the LA. teams here. It's going into the unknown. Just strap em up and play.

I was expecting to see more results out of the Baytown RR two weeks ago and the Deer Park RR this past weekend...

Did the top 12s teams play each other or not? I have only seen results of Sudden Impact from Deer Park and Texas Ice & Texas Red Hots results from Baytown.

What happened to High Voltage, Rattlers, Storm, Stars, Panthers, TPS97, etc.? Did any of them play each other or did they end up dropping?

Many of these teams have a lot of new faces so it will take some time to get a true gauge of where they may be.Several teams are playing 14u and have not played in this age group.
Just saying it is still early, teams are making progress. Late Oct should give everyone enough time to see where they may be.
Hammer has got to be dying right about now since #1 has not played a game in 2 months. We will see her in Beaumont this weekend.

Kelpro

Looking forward to seeing your new team :D :D :D Should be an interesting weekend in Beaumont.
