Best 12U Texas teams - updated list 5-26-08

daddy, were their any teams worth mentioning. until you play a quality 14u tournament
then post.
There are some teams that think there the best cause they can enter any old 14u tournament
and place and then there are good teams who hunt down the best teams to play those are
the ones worth mentioning. theres a old saying you have to beat the best in order be consided the best. OUT

But the question is......have they played FREEZE BLUE baby!!!!!

I was told today that the Freeze quit in the Championship game against the Bombers. They said the Bombers were up 8-4 and had a couple on and the Bomber coached called time to talk to his batter and the Freeze coach went nuts and quit. Was anyone there to confirm this?

Exactly my point. Some of these teams, especially Tx Elite, goes out of its way to avoid any play where the quality "top" teams are playing. That Texas Elite team has not played Tx glory or any of the top teams in probably 3 years.

I think its a knock to the good teams to even have listed such a team at all.

I have nothing against any of the teams listed but when a team intentionally avoids competition they are definately not a top team. Nobody shakes in their Ringors to see that group coming.

I dont have a problem with the 12u playing 14 but not when you cant even beat the 12 u teams around.

I don't have any love or hate for the TPS or TX Elite but didn't they both play in the Bomber tournament with like 30 teams. Wasn't there good competition?

Not to take anything away from tps cause there rep proceeds them,but for me the team to
beat in the south is the spring sting. Became a fan when i saw them that first tournament
on day one they got beat beat four games straight and on day two regrouped and beat
the same teams that beat them shows character.As i understand they added two new solid
players including one that hit 5 homers in one tournament. To add talent like that
to an already solid team is dangerous.

Not really. Almost all of the teams were from south texas. Never heard of them before. a lot of 96 teams too. TPS, the new glory(gray) look at the schecule, who did they beat? a few new 12 u 96 teams. and thats it. anybody could do that. They lucked into an easy bracket that took them to the end without having to play many of the really good teams.

They have not played a 12u A team in at least 3-4 years. they avoid every good team in N. texas.

Like I said I dont have anything against them just they have not won any 12 A tourneys (actually they have not even played any A tourneys). So they should not even be in the same category as the likes of Glory, Travelers and even the Sneeky Cleats,...Elite has not ever beat the sneaky cleats before and has never played Glory, Travelers,BB (rhine).... and I could go on and on. they avoid real competition.

how do you compare a so-so team to the best when they have go out of their way to avoid the best teams? glory gray should not be there either. They should be a good team this year with all the cast offs from Flannigan and failed other glory teams but they have not played anyone to credit them for being a top team.

just saying that teams earn their place and elite has not earned anything. Id like to see them against Flannigan. They would get killed and there is no run rule in A to save them.

That did not come out right.

TPS and Glory Gray...were two of teams that could have beat Elite but they did not play them. By looking at the schedule the teams elite beat were 96 new teams in an easier bracket. the better teams beat each other before elite had to play them.

Looks like we will be able to tell soon.... 95 Travelers and 95 Glory are stepping down on 5-09 in Southlake to play 12U. Sure would be nice to see some South and Central Texas teams there.

We know who 1st and 2nd will be but ............. who will be 3rd,4th,etc.

P.S. Let's see who drops the tournament between now and then since Travelers and Glory entered.

Now that the Glory has entered in southlake maybe the other top 95s RR Blaze,This Freeze Blue that we hear about, 95 Bombers,Deer Park TPS can join in and give us a HOF preview. Maybe they can replace some of the teams that might drop when they see 95 Glory on the list.
