Questionable Coaches

by liveintex » Mon Nov 09, 2009 1:53 pm

I am beginning to think like some of you that the initial post is bogus. I refuse to believe that a convicted murderer is a head coach at any level. An assistant coach, maybe because I don't think they are subject to a background check. Either way, I call BS because the question to your answer is "duh, of course a convicted murderer can't coach a team".

If you are going to put it out there for an opinion and if there is in fact a convicted murderer amongst our girls, then it is your civil duty RIGHT NOW to post the team that he coaches for so we can be on the alert if we play them.

IMO, if you don't post the team name today, I, as well as many others, would give your initial post zero credibility.

Man up and protect all of our daughters and let us know what team has a convicted murderer coaching.

I just needed some feedback on an issue like this. Seems like we as parents and representatives of teams and associations where our DD play need to make sure that Backgrounds are enforced. Something has got to give or I guess we will wait until something horrible happens that wakes us up. Trust me, I will update you guys on what happens, hopefully there won't be a bad precedent set by allowing someone like this coach.

Just go to the link arrested coaches and remember that for most of them it's the first time they where "caught". Like the elementary coach with 54,000 child porn images on his home computers in Texas last week; no criminal background to be found, teaching in our schools until he was caught.

It's no BS my friend, 100% true. I won't post the team or coach unless this person is allowed to coach after today. This team is not that good, so there is no threat of losing to them. Just don't piss off the coach. HA HA HA!!!

IThoughtSo!!!

(1) If what you are saying is true, then there is absolutely nothing funny about this.
(2) If you are not sure enough about your accusations to let other teams know, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THIS IS A GOOD COACH OR NOT, then it is better not to mention it at all.
(3) If you have to ask what to do in this situation, I have serious questions about your use of common sense.

100% BS.

1) It's not funny. Period. End of story.

2) Who's to say that he won't try to coach again?

3) So what you're saying is that since it's a lower quality team, it's not that important? I thought it was an "A" team? Are you saying that it's not an "A" team anymore?

100% no doubt pure BS. Please go away.

At first he led us to believing that he had messed up when he was young but never specified that he had been to prison for three felonies. It was just assumed that it was just for one felony where he said that he did something stupid. Now I learned that he has not just one but three felony convictions and served time in prison. I guess that is our fault for not doing a deeper check on him.

What is the softball associations and organization responsibility on something like this? I'm trying to approach this in the right way. I know that there are a lot of bleeding liberals that would say to give this guy a chance, but my conscious says "No way"!

I tend to be more liberal, but felony convictions should automatically exclude any one from working with children. It's just too risky.
