Who do you like for TOP 10 Houston area 14U teams in Spring?

by frito_burrito » Tue Nov 10, 2009 6:01 pm

Well now that RM is over who does everyone like in the 14s. I still think TPS and Kaos are the teams to watch. The rest would be sudden impact, sk impact, coastal elite, tx sting, fb thunder, sneaky cleats. then fury, aces, storm elite.

any other teams that may compete?

Why have you left off Sting Blue and Impact 95?? I think the Phantomz need to be put in there too..
If it ain't broke, why fix it??

I'm thinking Tx. Sting was meant to be Sting Blue. May be wrong. Same teams for me as well.
TPS
Kaos
Coastal Elite and I agree Phantomz are good team.
All solid teams
As for the 96's, well, as I stated before, look for some changes on a few of those teams (Storm, Aces)
Thunder, Sting Blue, Fury are solid and stable teams.
Teams I think will be even better come spring, would be Phantomz, Sudden Impact '96

Have you noticed how Houston Area teams finished at RM? Only 4 of the top 16 were not from the Houston Area.

1st Tx Sting-blue
2nd SK Impact 95
3rd Sudden Impact 14u
4th Phantoms
Tied 5th Blaze-Kirk & Kaos
Tied 7th Fort Bend Thunder & Blaze-Davidson
Tied 9th Bombers 95, Coastal Elite, High Intensity, Katy Force
Tied 13th Crush, Tx Lite, Aces, CyFair Storm
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Cannot judge teams in the fall. I know that the Houston Power plays its players on all their teams 50/50 win or lose. They don't remove pitchers and give everyone the opportunity to play, grow and the most important, the opportunity to develop. Most teams at this age are all about the win and win at any cost. At some point this philosophy back fires, especially when they are older. The teams that develop their players become the better players at the older ages. A lot of players at this age group are weak on fundamentals and this too will catch up with them.
The team you see on the field in the fall will not be what you see in the late spring or summer when winning and qualifying does mean something.

Another excuse for 2 and out! I won 't ever believe that going to the ship was not in the Powers plans. The bottom line is that they did not play well.

They certainly removed pitchers in their bracket game with the Texas Lite --- two pitchers in fact and finally had to put in their Ace. Just saying!
