Well, If you want to get personal. Their father has been in afganistan for the past 14 months and I stepped in for my sister and do everything I can to be there for them and their dad. I claim them as my DDs and tell anyone that wants to know that I am their "fill in father" for a little while. And I look forward to seeing their dad come home and taking over.

I do think the 2 best 12U teams in the State are from the North. I also belive there are quality teams from the South. I do not belive being from one part of the State or the other guarantee's you a win or loss any more than being from California makes better than being from Texas. I don't see the North dominate when they come to Houston or Central TX and I don't see the South dominate when they play up North. I would love to see all areas of the state travel to play against each but it just don't happen. Many teams choose to play up instead of paying the added expense to travel. Does playing 14u/16u/18u as a 12u and staying local equate to traveling to play the best? Who knows? I do know that there are not many chances to play the Glory and Travelers in a 12u tournament unless its State. It would be nice if their was a Best of the Best in a nuetral location with equal travel for all.

Never said that teams from the south couldn't afford to travel north to play. Just said it may or may not be in their budget. Honestly, I'd like to see a list of team names from the south who are traveling north to play where the only competition is because "Daddy" knows there is no competition in the south. I don't know of any. Maybe the definition of south is 20 miles south of the Dallas / Ft.Worth metropolitan area.

Never said that teams from the north had to "waste" their time going south to play. I would think the "poor" people of the south probably don't care one way or the other.

My opinion, if I can have one, is that there are some very good teams from the central, southern, and eastern part of Texas that don't feel they need to travel to the "far" northern part of Texas to get competition. Not to take anything away from the talent that is obviously there, but there is some equally good teams from all over and I agree that it would fun and beneficial to all these teams to come together and play one another.

As for north vs. south...it is obvious to me that with Daddyball 101 comments about the southern teams not having "it", he is drawing the line. Sounds pretty biased to me. Maybe he should read all his postings again. North this, north that....may be true in his mind, but others don't have to agree. And that doesn't make them wrong either. Just a little curious about what makes him the guru of softball.

With that said, I apologize to everyone for being so "mental" as Daddyball101 so elequently posted. I just think all this is humerous.

Texas has some great teams and I again wish them all the best of luck this summer. I just don't agree that they are all from the "far" north.

Seriously, if you look at the stats then R.R. is better than Travelers and even beat them at the Bombers shootout. So why are the south Texas teams not voting more for them.

I guess we will find out who is the top team soon!!

This is the wrong post for my comment but relates to txballclub's comment. Heck i will admit that I voted for Texas Peppers and the Texas Travelers(Splash) in the best of the 14U. Played Peppers before and they are BAD-never played the TT(Splash) but have seen them since 10U and they are scary!! Would not wanna draw any one of those 2 teams in a tourney, cause I know it would be real tough and HECK I AM FIELDING A PRETTY TUFF TEAM MYSELF> Good luck to the TT 95, RR Blaze and Texas Glory 95 and all the Texas 12U & 14U teams-lotta respect from STE08(ALICE). That is why the game is played, anyone can get beat on any given Sat./Sun. !!!!

First off let me start by saying I think all 3 teams are great. I think any team can beat the other on any given day. You said check the stats so, of course I did, I can not find any other tournament other than the bomber shooot-out that RR Blaze has placed higher than 95TT. Seems to me you just might want your team ranked where they should'nt be? Just curious how did you get two votes? I only got one, I want to vote for my team again.

I also have not found where RR placed higher than the 95 TT.......maybe I am not looking in the right places......

I do know they (95 TT) placed this weekend in Southlake, they lost to Fusion (Sidwell)
5-3 and beat BB (Montoya) 4-0 for third place.......I do think 95 TT are a better team than RR.....but definatly want to congratulate Fusion (Sidwell).......they have a solid team all around.

Round Rock beat the Travelers at the Bombers but neither team placed. Round Rock is also doing very well in 14U but so are the Travelers and 95 Glory.

P.S. My daughter does not play for Round Rock but she has been beaten by them several times.

I was just curious as to how people are voting.
