Glad to see a tone down in the post. As I stated earlier, no team has ever won a game on a website. The RIP girls did a fantastic job on the field and deserve the respect they are getting, but a "congratulations and a well done" is the best way to do this. Making a bold prediction that they would have beat the champion IF they played, or that IF the umpires had not made bad calls they would not have loss to the Force in the first game only tarnishes what the girls accomplished on the field. As they say...IF frogs had wings they would not be bumping their butts on the sidewalk. The only facts are that RIP lost to Force in the first game, and won the second. By doing so, RIP earned one of the only two original qualifying spots to Oklahoma City for the Hall of Fame which a great accomplishment. They will not have to wait to see if any additional spots are given out to the Hall of Fame.
By the way, I don't think anyone in South Texas took RIP for granted. Those of us in South Texas simply had not heard of them until this tourney. This is more than likely because RIP has chosen to do their talking on the field as opposed to a website. They may have been taken for granted by those in North Texas that have had the opportunity to see RIP play, but not by anyone from our area. We only pay attention to what teams do on the field and RIP has our complete respect.
Once again, congratulations to TPS 98 and RIP for earning the two original qualifying spots that were available for the Hall of Fame.
