Between REALLY and DENVER Dog, you'd think the Diamonds just seemed to get lucky at the HOF qualifier. Looked like they played hard to me, at least against our team. They won, you didn't. Get over it already.

Back it up Knot, Diamonds are one of the top 3 teams in the state they proved that this weekend if not the best as far as consistensty goes. Any team that plays up in 14U almost strictly to better themselves deserves the credit for their ability. I never doubted that, my contention revolves around the fact that Houston produces more (as in quantity) competitive teams in general thus demonstrating a larger pool of talented players, better coaching etc.... Keep in mind they are 10-13 yrs old, anyone that undermines what those children do and what they have achieved is probably from Dallas ;)

Don't take it so personal this is just good old fashion UT vs ATM, DFW vs. Htown, Cowboys Vs Texan's fun any team and any young lady, coach or organization representing this state has my support 100%. So Cal on the other hand better look out :o

By the way go back I picked Redhots/Diamonds in the final and gave it to the redhots becasue they are more then anyone expected. If you want to really talk about the best team in texas think about a 1st yr 97' 12u team running those 96's around this weekend. The torch will be passed in 2010 and then Houston will have it all, majority and the best team in the state.

To correct you, I never said the Diamonds got lucky and I never said they were not a good team. As a matter fact I never said anything good or bad, I just did not pick them when I gave my predictions. I think that is what got under a couple of your skin, no love given ;)
It sounds to me that coasterhead7 feathers are ruffled about not to do bout nuttn!!! To me all the hype over the teams takes place before a tourny. That is when posters give an opinion.
Coasterhead7 put a negative post and I guess he/she needs some personal bragging done.Who knows!!

My good friends REALLY and denver - I agree with some of your comments. For instance REALLY you said that the Diamonds were one of the top 3 teams in the state. Anyone except for you and denver would say they ARE the best team in the state since they won, not one of the top 3. You also mentioned that perhaps they were the best because of consistency most would argue they might be the best because of talent. You are right on about the Red Hots and I dont know what team you are with it REALLY doesnt matter but I would assume possibly Red Hots. If so you do have a lot to be excited about. A first year team qualifying says they are either really good or the field is not as strong as a whole. I know we saw the Diamonds last year in the 12U HOF Qualifier (by the way I dont remember seeing anyone else there) and if memory serves me correctly they might have won 1 game and were a non-factor. Denver why have you not said anything good or bad about this team and why did you not pick them. Is it that difficult. I do agree with you about all the hype taking place before a tournament though. However, now that it is over there is no more hype just reality.

Oh I forgot to mention to Comet that while he is more than welcomed to post his experiences at Nationals, because this is a TX board i was hoping to hear from some TX people and most notably anyone from Houston on a 2 year 12U team not named Riptide.

Hey coaster I have seen the Diamonds before hand (2007 & 2008) and once you do, you never forget the twin towers they have, the biggest girls I have ever seen in this age and they can play with the best of them..

Red,
He is trying to provoke a response since in this age group the Riptide is the only attendee at ASA nationals. We where all playing in PCB.

Because I have a choice :D and yes it is difficult when you have not seen a team play and all you have to go on is tournament finishes and/or rumors. No tourny places that I could see
and rumor was they lost players, were slow and as a matter of fact the last rumor was that if they did not place at HOF they were dissolving the team. Now that they have won a tourny I will have to consider them to place in the top if not the top but not till I personally watch them myself will have my own opinion on how good they may be.
add to this, the team I favor did Qualify, in 14u so no whinning bout 2 o'clock games just know thats hard on adults little alone 11 - 13 ro girls

So one team, Riptide attended ASA from Houston?
And wasn't it one team, Diamonds from Dallas?

So does that make us even? :D

Good afternoon one & all. I have been on location shooting a spot for ESPN 12 only to arrive back at my office & find "some not all" you people from the Houston area crying & make up more reasons that you fell short again.

Have a little class & just give the Diamonds some respect.I would bet the teams from your area would love for you to stop crying to the entire world on their 2nd & 3rd place showings. Every dog has his day & today it's the DIAMONDS.

North TEXAS SOFTBALL FANS!! Will enjoy this win together.Maybe that's what you are missing support from you fellow teams.I have not seen one other N.TEXAS team beating up the DIAMONDS on here, stop chewing off your own leg. Thank you all for you time in this matter.

THANKS AGAIN
