Was thinking Rocket Tech. LOL Besides the Thud of a composite bat just doesn't seem as descriptive in writing.

Then we can go back to playing softball.

And what about my freedom from being aurally assaulted by the crap you call music? I guess that doesn't count. Your freedom to punch me ends at the tip of my nose, and the same goes for your boombox and my ears.

Every High School softball game and every College game I have been to plays music between innings.

At the Hall of Fame Tournament... guess what... They played music between each inning...

Are you going to turn down a Scholarship to a college if they play music between innings? :?:

Not the same thing and you know it. There aren't other games going on as they roll a boom box through the complex as loud as it can go. I don't think the majority of people have a problem with it between innings as long as it isn't so loud as to disturb other games.

Surely your not suggesting things like tact, common sense, setting right examples, etc. on a softball board? Kidding of course.

On the one hand I say don't sweat it and let the jackasses expose themselves for what they are, but like anything else, everyone has there breaking point and there comes a time to take a stand for the good of the whole.

I sense the advent of a few rules and regs coming down the pike - for various reasons previously stated on this thread.

That is the great forgotten point about freedom of (fill in the blank). Too many people think it means "I can do whatever, say whatever, I want with no regard for anyone else. No one lives in a vacuum, and even our rights and freedoms have to have boundaries.

Another way of stating this is that every individual "right" imposes a corresponding obligation on everyone else. In the case of loud, obnoxious music, if someone has a right to play it whenever, wherever, and as loud as they want, everyone else is obligated to tolerate it. So in response to those who cry "freedom, freedom, freedom," I would argue that this is hardly a freedom-maximizing arrangement. Quite the contrary.

Just a suggestion, but I have used some 'fight fire with fire' medicine for these lowrider crowd that will drive one of their pos cars up to a light with trash coming out of their speakers loud enough to crack windows. Its a really nice Patsy Cline cd, I load it, pull up besides the mobile trash, roll down my windows and crank up my speakers as loud as I can get them. Bob Wills works too, and Hank Williams Sr. but the best usually has a good long steel guitar riff that quiets down that crap, at least mine is now loud enough, that I cant hear theirs. We do have a law here about people playing their music loud enough to be heard in near by cars, but its not enforced because as I understand, enforcing that law was considered to be racist.
