9th Bombers 95, Coastal Elite, High Intensity, Katy Force
13th Crush, Tx Lite, Aces, CyFair Storm

Congrats to all of these teams! There was some exciting ball being played this weekend. And, while there was some great pitching, the games I saw were generally determined by the strength of the teams' outfields. Every team playing on Sunday hit the ball deep into the outfields. Outfield speed made the difference in a number of the games I watched.

And, while one '96 team did quite well, five of the top six teams listed above were '95s. Give the Sudden Impact their props, however, for finishing third overall (note: I changed the placing above to more accurately reflect how these teams finished).

What 96 teams are you referring to? FB Thunder is the only 96 team listed above. 96 Sudden Impact had at least 1 95 player. I think Sting Blue does also.

I guess it's up for interpretation on how you define a '96 team. While Sudden Impact had one 95 playing for them this weekend, I understand one of their middle infielders is a 98. So, on average, this team is younger than a true 96 team...

Are you serious? They had a Gold pitcher pitching for them. My interpretation is that they lose 2 and go home early without her on the mound

Their other bracket pitcher is a 96 (7th grader, I understand) who picked up with their Gold team the last two weekends. So, I guess all their wins should be discredited because they actually had two gold players on the roster! If you're 13 or 14 years old, does that really make you a gold player?

The Thunder should be commended on their performance this weekend, too. They sent a lot of good teams into the losers bracket. In my opinion, I think the pitcher for the Thunder is one of the best in all of 14U - and likely better than the two "gold" players on the Sudden Impact.

Sudden Impact picked up an ELIGIBLE 14U player for their team . She has played with an 18U team for two months. She was FOURTEEN years old when this year started and played 14U all year before that . No rules were broken .Their TEAM played very well . Congrats on their third place finish . If you couldnt hit her , go to batting practice because whatever age your daughter is she will be facing similar pitching or even better very soon. Get over it and move on down the road.

WOW, the Sudden Impact 14U actually picked up one second year 14U player to play in a 14U event!!! What a crime - call the police!!!

Looking at the draw and posts they beat the 95 KAOS, Phantomz, Blaze, Bombers and TPS all within the last two tournaments. Why don't you give them some credit and as Underdog said go practice a little harder!!

Congrats to the Sting Blue and Impact 95 for making it to the championship and great job to all that made it to Sunday!!  :o :o

It doesn't matter who Sudden Impact picked up or didn't pick up. They came in third place and beat some very good teams in doing so. If you had been out there and seen some of those teams with "94" players on it, you would be saying the same thing.

Congrats to Sting Blue, Impact 95, Sudden Impact and the Pearland Phantomz for a great tournament and coming in the top four. There is definately a whole lot of competition out there for the spring. And of course, from a personal perspective, congrats to Ft. Bend Thunder for a great showing and knocking off TPS 95 and the "94" High Intensity team from Florida. Those were two really big upsets from a "96" team!!!
If it ain't broke, why fix it??

Well ZIG if your prediction is true this team should have some changes ASAP.

What were some of the upsets this weekend? Ill take Stealth over Aces 2-0. Sorry ZIG. Fury and TPS 2 and out.

Sounds like some of the smack talkers are now whiners! A 14u pu player beat their 14u starter! Wow, need to go back to the drawing board and see how they can make it to the top 3 or 5 or 10 in a tournament of good teams!
Congrats to Sting Blue on your Championship win. Also,to SK Impact and Sudden Impact for a top 3 finish.

I saw some Elite parents looking sick to there stomach on the way to the parking lot around 6:30 Saturday. I say they lose 2 or 3 players in the next week or two and possibly more, just wait for someone to pop up with tryouts on eteamy. This team is done shelling $150+ per kid.
As far as the Aces go. Well there is a little rumbling but our Coaches have control of everything I think. Our first loss was uncalled for but our second loss was to a good team in a good game.
I was surprised to see Fury lose to Crush.
Shocked about TPS leaving early but they did win 1 game against the stix.
Power was 2 and Q. no surprise to me. I tried to tell you that before the tournament.
Sting Blue winning was a surprise, I am gonna talk to coach about getting 6 more coaches and see if that helps us. Really, how many coaches do they have? Congratulations Sting, you were able to fill your roster and get it done with out bringing down any of your Gold players to help you out.
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

maybe some of the storm elite can go back to fred and sudden impact. i think sting has a coach for each player. that would make something like 16 or 17!!!!!  i guess it works for them though. i was wondering how the hell they keep everyone happy? now i know. win the ronald mcdonald.

Zig,

Why would you be so surprised that the Crush beat the Fury? FYI the Crush also beat the Florida High Intensity team in our pool game 4-1. Just wondering about the way you think.
